Our Story...
40 Years in the Making
Tom and Margaret Fell moved to Drumlan Hall Farm with their two sons, Graeme and Jonathan in 1984.ย
The introduction of the Milk Quota restrictions led them to look for ways to add value to the excess milk that their 300 dairy cows were producing.
They decided to begin manufacturing real dairy ice cream, initially selling their product in a small on-site ice cream parlour.
As word spread about the quality of the ice cream that was being produced, local pubs, restaurants and hotels started requesting orders to use on their menus. So, the first van was bought to make deliveries.
40 years on, the fresh milk used to make our award-winning ice cream is still sourced from cows grazing the fields around the Cheshire plains.
From the cows being milked, to the production of our ice cream, the entire process takes just 24 hours, ensuring the highest quality product for our range of more than 40 flavours.
The Ice Cream Farm
Our small on-site parlour has grown significantly over the years. After starting out as a small shop bolted onto the milking parlour, it has developed into a hugely successful and independent business in its own right โ The Ice Cream Farm.
An award-winning visitor attraction with entertainment for the whole family, it now holds the Guinness World Record for being the โlargest ice cream shop in the worldโ. One of Cheshireโs most popular attractions, The Ice Cream farm has welcomed millions of happy customers from around the UK.
For those that just want to enjoy our ice cream without the play, the latest addition to the farm is The Ice Cream Drive In, where customers can cycle, walk or drive in to enjoy their favourite flavour.
Thereโs also a family-friendly restaurant called Sticky Paws, aimed at taking the stress out of mealtimes with a range of dishes for children of all ages, including visitors with special dietary requirements.
